Manual and automatic

Manual and automatic trading

Both modes run the same checks in the same order. The difference is who presses the button — not which rules apply.

Manual

You review each opportunity and act on it yourself.

RayTrading gives you the opportunity, the recheck, what your account permits and a trade plan. You place the trade — with your broker, or in a future release through a connected one.

  • Default for every account
  • Nothing happens without you
  • Works with any broker, connected or not

Automatic

You set the rules once, and RayTrading works within them.

You authorise a maximum — a fixed amount or a share of your equity — and RayTrading may act up to that limit on opportunities that pass every check. You are authorising a ceiling, not a single trade.

  • Off unless you turn it on
  • Bounded by the limit you set
  • Requires a broker that supports it

Neither mode can skip a step

Automatic is not a faster path through the checks. It is the same path, walked without you present.

  1. The recheck still runs
  2. Account risk still decides
  3. The size is still set on the server
  4. An unsupported broker still refuses

Automatic trading is designed and built into the product's architecture. It is not open for real orders, and this page says so rather than implying otherwise.

Your capital, your limit

You say how much is available. RayTrading says how much is safe.

These are two different numbers and RayTrading never confuses them. You set the first. The platform decides the second, and the smaller of the two is what happens.

A fixed amount

Up to 1,000 USD on any one eligible trade.

Simple to reason about. The number does not move when your account does.

A share of your account

Up to 2% of your account equity on any one eligible trade.

Scales with you. The basis is always stated — equity, never an unlabelled percentage.

What you allow is a ceiling, not a target

Authorising up to 2% does not mean 2% is used. It means nothing above it will be, and RayTrading will use less whenever your account risk limits call for less.

You allow 1,000. Your account permits 450. The trade is 450 — and you are told why, not just given a smaller number.

Your broker decides what is possible

Not every broker can do every thing, and RayTrading will not pretend otherwise.

What you can do in RayTrading depends on what your broker supports. Rather than showing you controls that would fail, the platform shows you what each connection can actually do.

A connected broker

RayTrading can read your account, size a trade against it, and prepare the order for you.

A manual-only broker

RayTrading gives you the full trade plan, and you place the order in your broker's own application.

If a broker cannot place orders automatically, no automatic control appears for it. The absence is the honest answer.
