Risk disclosure
Written to be read, not to be scrolled past. If you take one thing from this page, take the first line of it.
You can lose money
Trading and investing carry risk. You can lose some of what you put in. You can lose all of it. With certain instruments, and with borrowed money, you can lose more than you put in and end up owing money.
Only trade with money you can afford to lose entirely.
RayTrading does not reduce that risk
We show you analysis. Analysis is not certainty, and a well-reasoned view can be wrong. Better information changes the odds; it does not remove the possibility of loss.
- Past performance does not predict future results. A pattern that held for ten years can stop on the day you act on it.
- No result shown by the service is a promise. Not a target, not a projection, not an expected return.
- We publish no track record. If you see a performance claim attributed to RayTrading, it did not come from us.
What the service actually gives you
Analysis, not advice. RayTrading does not know your income, your savings, your debts, your obligations, your other investments, your tax position, your experience, or how much loss you could absorb without harm. It cannot take into account what it does not know.
Two people can be shown the same analysis when the right action for one is to act and for the other to do nothing at all. The service cannot tell which of them you are. You must decide whether anything it shows you is suitable for you — and if you are unsure, that is what a licensed adviser in your own country is for.
You place every order yourself. RayTrading does not currently execute trades, does not submit orders, and does not trade automatically. Nothing happens in a market because the service showed you something. It happens because you decided.
Data has limits, and they matter
- Data can be wrong, late, or missing. It comes from third parties.
- Delayed data is labelled as delayed, and the delay is stated. A 15-minute price is a picture of the past, and in a fast market it can be badly out of date.
- The price you see is not the price you get. Between the analysis and your order there is spread, slippage, liquidity, and time.
- Analysis is only as current as the data underneath it.
Where the service can tell that its information is too stale to support a conclusion, it withholds the conclusion rather than presenting one it cannot stand behind.
Artificial intelligence has specific limits
Parts of the service use AI models.
- AI can be confidently wrong — fluent, well-structured, and incorrect.
- The same question can produce different answers.
- AI can misread its evidence — a date, a number, a negation.
- It cannot know what it was not given.
We show you the evidence behind AI output so you can check it against the source. Please do, before acting on it.
Specific risks
| Risk | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Market risk | Prices move against you, for reasons no analysis anticipated |
| Liquidity risk | You may not be able to exit at the price you want, or at all, in a thin or disorderly market |
| Volatility | Prices can move violently and gap straight through your intended exit |
| Leverage and margin | Amplifies gains and losses alike. You may face a margin call, be closed out at the worst moment, and still owe money |
| Currency risk | Trading in a currency other than your own adds an exposure that has nothing to do with the instrument itself |
| Concentration | A portfolio held in a few positions moves with those few positions |
| Foreign and emerging markets | Different rules, disclosure standards, settlement and protections — sometimes fewer |
| Technology and connectivity | Software fails, networks fail, brokers have outages. Do not build a strategy that depends on a system being available at one specific moment |
| Regulatory change | Rules change, instruments get restricted, taxes change |
